Wednesday May 18th
The selected ensembles will arrive Wednesday and are given the possibility to prepare in the Small Auditorium for the children’s concert they will give there the next day. During the day, a professional coach will assist them, help them fine-tune their presentation and offer some last-minute tips. On Wednesday evening a welcome party will be given, where contestants, the jury and members of the organisation can get to know each other.

Thursday May 19th

Thursday is the day of the children’s concert. In 45 minutes the bands will perform their children’s programme in the Small Auditorium at De Oosterpoort. In the weeks preceding the concert, the children themselves will be prepared at school for the concerts at De Oosterpoort through an educational programme which is yet to be developed. For this, cooperation is seeked with the Prins Claus Conservatorium and the Stichting Oorkaan in Amsterdam.

These concerts conclude their project. Apart from the professional jury which will assess the bands, the children are allowed to give their opinion as well via a special voting system.

Friday May 20th
The bands will give their concert in the Small Auditorium of De Oosterpoort. The concerts will be open for public and the target group here is the existing audience.

Saturday May 21st

The day of the presentation in a special venue has arrived. The focus is now on the ingenuity and creativity of the participants. How will a band present its programme in such a way that it succeeds in engaging a new audience for their performance? The professional jury is present, but the opinion of the new audience is equally important. Did they enjoy the performance? Will they, from now on, attend pre-programmed concerts as well? The audience present can vote by sending a text message or via the website of On Wings!. The votes will be tallied at De Oosterpoort.

At the end of the day the winners will be announced and the festival will be concluded with a spectacular party!
